Cody Tyler Schueller

is a designer, educator and writer based in Chicago, IL. He has previously worked in architecture offices in Chicago, USA and Brussels, BEL on various international exhibitions and design competitions. Most recently, Cody, with his research partner Alaina Read Griffin, were awarded the 2025 Dean’s Professional Development Grant for their research on the Geographic Center of the Contiguous United States, and exhibited their findings in a show at MAS Context’s Reading Room titled Off Center. Currently, Cody teaches architectural design studios at several universities across the midwestern United States, is the co-chair of the 2027 Architecture and Film Symposium, director of the Super Coming Attractions Film Club, and cofounder of the art and architecture gallery, Guerrilla Gallery, in Chicago.

CHEESE AND CRACKER CONTAINERS, OR PARTY FAVORS

2024, Oil Board, Kraft Singles American Cheese Slices, Nabisco Original Premium Saltine Crackers

A box can be made for anything. Cheese and Cracker Containers borrows a pizza-box construction technique to tailor its bounding dimensions specifically to its contents. In doing so, uses no adhesive elements, rather, folds upon itself and relies on its own self-established internal friction, leaving easy deconstruction for after-party recylcing.
